Thompson Island Information Center A small welcome center location on the connecting road between the mainland at Trenton to Mount Desert Island. We visited Acadia National Park in October 2019. There is no longer a video being played at this location. There are a number of overlooks, trailheads, and attractions along the road. Ask someone at the center for a schedule of talks, walks, hikes, boat cruises, children's activities, and evening programs.
