The Cornstalk Hotel, New Orleans: 2020 Room & Reviews

cornstalk hotel new orleans

Broken bedside table, leaning to one side, no bellhop, no elevator. We loved it there and we will be back. Beautiful room, attentive staff, great front porch to sit and have coffee or cocktails, and none of the noise from Bourbon Street, which is a block away. Guests can surf the web using the complimentary wireless Internet access. Posted by Megan, from Ontario, Canada on Feb 20, 2017 Comment from Hotel Management Feb 24, 2017 by Tami Just perfect! We have visited New Orleans many times, but the Cornstalk was really excellent.

However, it was a corner room in the back of the house and there was no street noise. The Cornstalk Fence Hotel provided a better-than expected stay and was within walking distance of just about everything the French Quarter has to offer! A 24-hour business center, a terrace, and a garden are also on offer. A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Bathrooms include bathtubs or showers. I recommend it especially if you're looking for a taste of New Orleans and not a sterile hotel room.

Close to the gay bars, so this was a great choice for a gay couple. Thank you, Ryan, for letting me use your umbrella. A lovely place to stay for a night or two in the French Quarter, away from the hubbub of Bourbon Street while still close to many great restaurants. This is a 200 year old building not a large modern hotel. Smoking is allowed in designated areas at this 3-star New Orleans hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel and this destination to anyone looking for a unique and memorable travel experience! It was an incredible experience. Select Comfort beds feature premium bedding. Elvis Presley called the hotel home while filming the movie King Creole. Shower is small too but good water pressure. The hotel can provide concierge services and wedding services. The staff were fantastic, helped us with anything we needed -including giving us the simple advice to get a bottle of wine, sit on the balcony and watch the world go by. It would be great for a sole traveler. I have only good thoughts about the Cornstalk Hotel. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress.
