Regardless of coloring medium would recommend a supporting surface as the cover material is not as rigid as, for example, a Creative Haven coloring book. I was excited to recognize some of the images from a few of my favorite artists on deviant art and the book could very well be considered an art book of black and white images with the quality. Very well drawn and lots of detail to color in but none of it looks too fine to do with colored pencils, gel pens or markers. As an avid fan of coloring books I was very happy with my purchase of this book. I was very happy to find that, of the 46 listed images, all but 5 of them are of the same style and quality of design as the image on the cover. The only thing that bugs me a little is that the sheets aren't perforated on the inside edge for easy removal from the book. Almost all the pictures are of Zenescope's sexy female characters but there are about a handful of pages that are graphic design instead for a bit of variety.

The pictures are printed on one side of the page, are not perforated, and of medium weight. The images have been thoughtfully positioned in the book so that they do not abut the spine of the book, making it easy to color the elements on the left hand side. A nice break from prim and proper.

Packaging should be the same as what is found in a retail store, unless the item is handmade or was packaged by the manufacturer in non-retail packaging, such as an unprinted box or plastic bag. The paper is sturdy enough but if you use marker I'd probably pull the page. Maybe I am not as knowledge of classic tales as I would like to think but I was only confident in places 20 images into a respective tale, not that this bothered me since the other 21 images are still definitely on the same vain and fit the theme presented by the images themselves. If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. I saw almost because I didnt realize that the images were drawn by different artists. The Paper: I agree with M Holmes that, when using markers, the colorist would need to protect the other pages in some way from bleeding.
