I also stated that this incident could have ended very differently, with injuries and or death! The contact took the vehicle to the dealer, but they could not duplicate the failure. I replaced with the diesel version but ran a cheater wire through the loom and t-connected to the correct fuel pump positive lead at the connector under the rear seat. The vehicle has not stalled since the repair, but continues to hesitate as if it will stall. The abs lights will stay on and the ante skid control light will stay on for a brief amount of time sometimes it will go off and sometimes it will just stay on. I sent Chrysler a written, detailed report of exactly what occurred with this vehicle. First two times they replaced the wheel sensor. Do you just cut it near the sensor and then splice it and then again on the other side? Replacing the wire was not very hard once you find where everything is! As of today, Chrysler has not returned any of my phone messages. Randomly in first and if I start in second gear it acts like the Jeep is trying to catch traction and the traction light will blink then the abs and traction light stays on.

I have seen several units with this problem. It said a wheel sensor on a side I already replaced the hub assembly on. The Jeep continued traveling straight. The Jeep does still chime notifying me of the issue. I thought for sure it would fix the issue but the lights are still on and I forgot to check to see if my cruise control was working again. The vehicle did not respond, the Jeep did not slow down.

Check the right rear speed sensor wire just above the rear diff housing, it appears they did not leave enough slack on 06 models in the loom and it rubs on top of the housing, breaking or shorting the wires. This would let you know which side, which wheel is having the problem. The clock spring is what the steering wheel angle sensor takes it's measurement from. The first had so many problems that the dealership was unable to repair that I traded it in two years ago. I pushed the the brake pedal to slow down. Fca, Chrysler customer care was notified.
