From 2008 to 2011 Clarkston provided funds from their share to assist with maintenance and operations of the Aquatic Center, however in 2012 the City elected to apply those funds elsewhere leaving the Aquatic Center operating at a loss. Life skills, educational, and religious programs are offered through volunteer services. Since 2013, Idaho proclaimed June 3-9, Idaho Health and Yoga Awareness Week. It is a Drug Free Workplace and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Other community services include public fingerprinting.

The jail is staffed 24 hours per day by 1 Commander, 3 Sergeants, 10 Corrections Officers, and a Transport Officer. All Asotin County positions require a background check, physical, and drug test.
