This is not a book for everyone. Milton is the man the government sends after you when everything else has failed. What did you like best about this story? Didn't everyone live like that? No-one knows his real name, and the only people who have seen his face are dead. I decided to download it and it has been an incredible experience! After reading about the murders, Capote traveled to Kansas with his childhood friend Harper Lee who would go on to win the Pulitzer Prize for her novel To Kill A Mockingbird to interview the locals about the crime. The characters are very realistic and you soon get to feel their situations.

His book is not a blood and guts horror tale; it's not a socio-pschological tale trying to evince sympathy for the murderers; it's not a who dunnit detective story. The narration is clear and well read. Houses, shops, and entire streets are wiped from the map.
