It's just giving away money. Its for this exact reason people are giving fortnight shit for wanting to not be on the google play store. Check out this story for a recap of. I give it 3-maybe 4 months of people flipping the finger at Bethesda before they decide to take it back and put the game on Steam like they did with Fallout shelter. I expect we may find out tomorrow when the game becomes available for sale digitally in the Xbox store. Sometimes I go through my discovery queue just for the hell of it, and after adding just five tags it's not limited to 3 , I've never seen a game that would be completely something that I didn't want to see.
Activision Blizzard now uses its own Blizzard Battle. Microsoft has the Xbox Game Pass that has over 100 games including all of its first-party releases on the day that they go on sale. Frankly, it would be stupid of them not to use only Bethesda. But again, thats just my opinion. Their main friends lists now live on Discord, not Steam. Quake Champions, Fallout Shelter both started out as Bethesda launcher-exclusive games before later coming to Steam.
It is just plain utter stupid! Another interesting note in the is that if all goes according to plan the beta version will actually be the full game, and any progress you make in it will carry over into the release version. Progress made during the beta will carry over to the full version in November. Well I'm sure it comes out with an authentication key with steam in it since Fallout 4 does the same with the disc. When they get greedy and try to go away from that format, it hurts the consumer. I also continue to subscribe because I want to have access to certain shows and movies in case I find some time to watch them.

This wouldn't be the first time Bethesda has decided against a Steam release for its games. The Fallout 76 beta test is set to begin sometime in October. Always follow when sharing your own content. That service has its own store and game library, and last month every day throughout July.
Piracy is a permanent ban, no warnings. I simply go to my library and start my game most of the time. But I would much rather have all my games in one place then scattered through hundreds of different websites and launchers. Ever since i got my account hacked in battlefront 1, I will never buy a dlc using origin. This is obviously big news, as Fallout 76 is effectively the first major Bethesda game to skip Steam.
I can store money in my steam wallet to use elsewhere. Already have Steam, Uplay, and Origin installed, absolutely 0 interest in installing yet another launcher. The beta is available only for people who pre-order the game. That service makes more money and is more appealing when it gets more big-budget games from beloved studios. Originally posted by :Of course it will. Bethesda says players can earn these games through regular gameplay too. The Xbox One beta will start first, followed by other platforms.
Everyone who pre-orders the game will be invited to take part. Please note that the B. But I'm not entirely sure with my answer either. That has these huge third parties looking for a way out from underneath the Steam stranglehold and its 30-percent cut on all purchases. Activision has done the same recently with Destiny 2 and now Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 being exclusive to Battle. Their games have enough pull that it will sell well enough whenever it releases on Steam afterwards.
Bugs are amusing and funny in games, but not when they happen in my wallet. Obviously if it was just like, 5 or so launchers its fine, or you use Steam and it still has to launch through their own launcher like Ubisoft. Instead, as you may have guessed already, Fallout 76 will be a Bethesda launcher exclusive — at least for launch. An oddity considering was available for pre-order on Steam months prior to release. It is a part of our lives as gamers, and it takes a lot of work to build a store that can get to that position.
